This is not your typical bicycle tour. Rather than following a traditional tour guide, your smartphone will do all of the talking. Bring your own bike (or rent locally from Elora Ski & Bike @ http://www.eloraskicycle.ca/bicycle-rentals/) and visit the App Store or Google Play Store, download the VoiceMap App for free, and then download the Elora Historical Bicycle Tour for $6. Everyone can download their own tour or your group can huddle together. Then, simply start riding and your phone will guide you on your journey telling you where to go, when to stop, and share numerous stories along the way. The tour starts at Hoffer Park across the street from Alchemy Yoga Studio. Excellent listening skills is a must!

You will experience the sights, sounds, and history of Elora as you cycle along the Elora Gorge, Elora's historic downtown core, and a myriad of bicycle paths along the Grand River. Look and listen to discover how the Gorge was created, and be surprised to discover its little known troubled past. Learn about Elora's industrial history, from its toy making to its farm implements, and how these sites have been transformed through the years and now beckon visitors as part of a thriving tourism industry.

Best of all, this tour is yours and yours only. There is no group to keep up with, so you can go at your own pace. Stop for a snack or photo opp at your leisure. Simply listen, pedal, and enjoy. Note, Elora Rapids Inc. no longer rents out bicycles, needs you to sign a waiver, and no longer gives out water bottles, smartphones (gps), and speakers. We simply created the tour for all to enjoy who have their own equipment.
